1. HOMESCHOOL CONTENT ONLY:   Please keep all conversations related to homeschool, children's education and parenting only.

2. MONDAYS: Monday is the ONLY day  reserved for posting any events or information that does NOT relate to homeschooling. This includes classes, lectures, or business advertisement that are not homeschool related.  If you are unsure, post it on a Monday.

3. Be Kind and respectful at all times.  Express opinions in a gentle manner. Healthy debates and differences  are natural but kindness is required.  Refrain from religious arguments, praising people or groups excessively, or preaching in the group.

5.One on one conversations need to be done in  a private message.

6. Adding a friend: Contact Martha Lisle to add a friend to MHSC.  They must be someone you know personally and must be homeschooling a child age 5 and up. New member registration is in August and January.

7. Active participation is REQUIRED.  You must volunteer at least once a year with a single event or an ongoing activity. If you are new to the group, the admin will help you find something.

8.  You must be present and supervise your children at ALL times at all MHSC events, unless it is specified as a "drop off" event.

9.  DO NOT bring sick children to any events and activities.  Please take this seriously. You will be asked to take your child home if they are visibly sick.

10. MHSC events are for the members only. Our flyers or event information may NOT be shared outside of our group.

11. The Admin will delete any comments or posts in the WhatsApp group that go against the rules of MHSC. Continuously Not following the group rules will result in your removal from MHSC.

1. MHSC members may not be paid for their time, expertise, work, or organizing of a MHSC workshop or event. Exceptions are only for teachers of long term classes and at the discretion of the planning team.

2. Payment Instructions- workshops, classes and events: Fees must be paid on the MHSC website or to the MHSC zelle account if needed. Always follow the payment instructions listed for each event.

3.  All funds will be kept in an account used exclusively for MHSC. Any surplus funds will be retained in the account and used only for the benefit of MHSC.

4. MHSC maintains a NO REFUND policy for an event  for a family fee of under $30. Refunds are only available if they do not result in a financial loss to  MHSC.

5.Parents or legal guardians are solely responsible for any injury, loss or damage caused by their child at any MHSC sponsored location or activity.

In consideration of my child(ren) or me being permitted to participate in any way in any and all activities of Muslim Homeschool Collective (“MHSC”) at any and all locations where such MHSC activities take place (collectively, the “Activities”), I, for myself, my child(ren), my heirs, personal representatives or assigns, do hereby covenant not to sue, and release, waive, and discharge, MHSC, its directors, officers, staff members, volunteers, advisors, property owners, and/or agents, from liability and of and from any and all claims including the negligence or default of MHSC, its directors, organizers, officers, staff members, member families, volunteers, advisors, property owners, and/or agents, resulting in personal injury, accidents or illnesses (including death), and property loss arising from, but not limited to, participation in the Activities. Participation in the Activities carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. The specific risks vary from one activity to another, but the risks range from (1) minor injuries such as scratches, bruises, and sprains, (2) major injuries such as eye injury or loss of sight, joint or back injuries, broken bones or teeth, asthma or heart attacks, and concussions, to (3) catastrophic injuries including paralysis and death. I have read the previous paragraphs and I know, understand, and appreciate these and other risks that are inherent in the Activities, which may include without limitation parties, picnics, hiking, swimming, field trips to museums, plays, or parks, or practices. I hereby assert that my participation and/or the participation of my child(ren) is voluntary and that I knowingly assume and accept all risks. I also understand that I may participate in activities that are not sponsored or supported by MHSC but are private activities of Members and that I assume all risks associated with such private activities (“Non-MHSC Activities”).

I also agree to INDEMNIFY AND HOLD MHSC, its directors, officers, staff members, volunteers, member families, advisors, property owners, and/or agents, HARMLESS from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities, including attorneys’ fees, brought as a result of my involvement in the Activities or Non-MHSC Activities or both, and/or the involvement of a minor child(ren) in the Activities or Non-MHSC Activities or both, in any location where Activities or Non-MHSC Activities or both are conducted, and of and from all claims which may hereafter develop or accrue to them on account of injury, loss or damage, which may be suffered by said minor or to any property, because of any matter, thing, or condition, negligence or default whatsoever, and to reimburse them for any such expenses incurred. I have read this Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risks, and Indemnity Agreement, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that I am signing this agreement freely and voluntarily, and intend by my signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
